The project LIFE Lynx has spent the past few years releasing lynx in Croatia and Slovenia to save the failing population. Amazing Aerial CEO Paul Prescott captured the project’s last release in Croatia for this video story.

For the past few years, the lynx population of Croatia and Slovenia was struggling. Isolated from other lynx populations and inbred, the population was dwindling and prone to genetic diseases. The project LIFE Lynx gathered an international team to save the population by releasing lynx captured elsewhere in Croatia and Slovenia, injecting much-needed genetic diversity.
The team are nearing the end of the release phase of their project and just released their last lynx in Croatia, the lynx Kras. Paul Prescott was on hand for the release in Plitvice Lakes National Park. He shares his impactful experience in this video story.
